Who Imran Savas is
Imran Savas is the Founder of Tape UK, a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, TED speaker and social advocate. He is one of the most compelling and distinctive voices in British public life today — on entrepreneurship, values-led leadership, faith and identity, social justice, and what it actually means to build something from nothing.
He is not a commentator. He has done it. That is what makes him worth covering.

The story in brief
Raised in a single-parent Mauritian household on benefits, Imran understood the language of bills, sacrifice and survival before most children understood arithmetic. He refused free school meals — not out of pride but dignity. With no roadmap and no role models who reflected his world, he became his own.
In 2019 he founded Tape UK with no clients, no funding and no team and within months turned down a major corporate acquisition offer to protect the mission. When COVID struck in the first year of trading, he told his entire client base not to pay and continued serving them throughout lockdown. He turned down a second major offer in 2025.
Tape UK is now a nationally recognised, multi-award-winning platform serving small businesses across the UK — entirely self-funded, with a 99% client retention rate, and a built-in philanthropic programme funding four clean water projects, a tree-planting programme and a newborn baby support incubator.
His TEDx talk Leaders of Tomorrow was promoted to TED.com, placing him alongside Bill Gates, Simon Sinek and Mel Robbins. He has received 25 national accolades. His social following of 400k+ includes politicians, celebrities and cultural changemakers.
In 2024, accepting Entrepreneur of the Year at the MBCC Awards — defeating Gymshark's Ben Francis MBE — he wore a Palestinian keffiyeh and used the stage not for self-celebration but to speak for humanity. The room gave him a standing ovation. He did the same again in 2026.
He has used every stage he has earned to speak for those who do not have one.
What Imran speaks to on air
These are not topics he has read about. They are things he has lived.
Entrepreneurship — Building a business with no money, no investors and no safety net. What the journey actually looks like beyond the highlight reel.
Values-led leadership — Why integrity is a competitive advantage. How to lead in a way that builds genuine trust rather than just performance.
Humanitarian advocacy — On the responsibility that comes with a platform, and what it looks like to use visibility for something that matters.
Faith and identity in modern Britain — What it means to be a British Muslim entrepreneur navigating identity, community and public life with authenticity in 2026.
Diversity and inclusion — What genuine equity looks like inside a business, and why most initiatives fail to deliver it. Spoken from the inside, not from a report.
Social impact and philanthropy — How profit and purpose coexist, and why businesses that embed giving from day one consistently outperform those that bolt it on later.
Resilience — The honest account of what sustained entrepreneurship costs, and what it actually takes to keep going when the business and the world are both testing you at the same time.
